Yermekbayeva Mayra Amanbekovna
Yermekbayeva Mayra Amanbekovna was born in the Turkistan Region, Kazakhstan.
In 2008, she graduated from the Faculty of Philology of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University with a degree in «Kazakh Language and Literature». From 2018 to 2020, she pursued a Master’s program at the same university and obtained a Master’s degree in Arts. From 2020 to 2023, she completed her doctoral studies at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University.
She began her professional career in 2008 at the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan as a Specialist. Subsequently, she served as Head of the Cultural Programs Sector of the Public Relations Service, Head of the Information Programs Sector, and later Head of the Information and Cultural Programs Service.
Since 2017, she has been working at the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan. She started her career at the Museum as a Methodologist in the Department of Museum Pedagogy and Children’s Creativity, where she actively participated in organizing museum educational programs and cultural outreach projects. Since 2022, she has served as Head of the Department of Museum Pedagogy and Children’s Creativity.
Throughout her professional career, she has gained extensive experience in organizing and coordinating the Museum’s scientific, educational, cultural, and outreach projects. Under her leadership, such projects as «Museum School Day», «Historical Figures», «Shanyrak», «Interesting Ethnography», «Dana», and other cultural and educational programs have been successfully implemented. She has also made a significant contribution to the development of an inclusive cultural environment through her participation in the projects «Accessible Museum: Cultural Heritage for All» and «Meiirim».
Her total professional experience amounts to 18 years, including 18 years in the cultural sector and 9 years of experience at the National Museum.
