A ceremonial opening of the Turkic World Week, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress, was held in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan.

During the opening ceremony, a congratulatory message from the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, was read to the participants.
In his message, the Head of State emphasized the importance of preserving the common historical and cultural heritage of the Turkic peoples, advancing Turkological studies, and strengthening the spiritual bonds among the brotherly nations.
According to President, the Turkic World Week serves as an important international platform for expanding scientific, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation among Turkic nations. Such meetings promote the shared historical heritage and pave the way for the implementation of new joint projects.
