The National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted the opening of the international seminar titled «Digitalization and Development of Museums in the Republic of Kazakhstan».
The event was organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye, and the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA).
The seminar focused on issues related to the digital transformation of the museum sector, the implementation of modern technologies, and the exchange of international best practices.
The plenary session was moderated by Yerzhan Toktagulov, Director of the Department of Digital Transformation and Project Management of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Leading Turkish experts in the field of museology took part in the event and shared their professional experience. Participants attended presentations on the digitalization of museum collections, collection management, the development of virtual museums, and the enhancement of visitor experience.
The seminar brought together nearly 100 specialists from national and regional museums across Kazakhstan. Particular attention was given to strengthening international cooperation and introducing innovative solutions in the museum sector. The event contributes to enhancing the professional qualifications of museum specialists and promoting modern approaches to the preservation of cultural heritage.
