The «Kazakhstan – France 2026» Museology Forum, held at the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, has successfully concluded its work. The forum was organized as a continuation of the 4th International Congress of Museums of Kazakhstan and brought together museum professionals and experts from Kazakhstan, the United States, France, Central Asia, and the Turkic world on one platform.
During the event, participants discussed issues related to the preservation of historical and cultural heritage, the development of museum practices, as well as the implementation of digital technologies and innovative solutions. International experts delivered presentations on the topic «Digital Museum: Innovative Solutions and Practices», showcasing 3D tours, artificial intelligence, the digitization of museum collections, and new approaches in the field of restoration.
As part of the forum, a special master class dedicated to the traditional Kazakh art of felt-making was held, allowing participants to gain practical experience with the techniques and methods of national handicrafts. In addition, discussions focused on the preservation, systematization, and international promotion of intangible cultural heritage.
Thus, the «Kazakhstan – France 2026» Museology Forum successfully concluded its activities, serving as an important cultural platform for strengthening international exchange of experience and discussing current issues in museum development and cultural heritage preservation.
