Night at the museum – 2026

Today, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 AM, the traditional cultural and educational event «Night at the museum – 2026», dedicated to International Museum Day, will take place at the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

This special evening, bringing together tradition and innovation, history and contemporary culture, features a unique and modern program both in content and format. The museum space will be filled with interactive activities, educational tours, creative workshops, scientific lectures, artistic performances, cultural events for audiences of all ages, and live concert performances.

The «Night at the museum» campaign has traditionally been held annually at the National Museum. Since its early years, the project has attracted great interest from thousands of visitors and has become one of the country’s major cultural events. While the first event in 2015 welcomed 23,000 visitors, on May 18, 2016, the National Museum hosted more than 30,000 guests. In 2017, the event was held twice and attracted over 39,000 people: the first time in celebration of Nauryz and the second in honor of Museum Day. In 2018, the event welcomed more than 37,000 visitors, while in 2019 attendance exceeded 42,000. In subsequent years, due to quarantine restrictions, the campaign was held online through the museum’s social media platforms. In 2023, the number of visitors reached 48,000, and in 2024-2025 attendance exceeded 30,000 people.
