The exhibition «Legend of Kazygurt – The Ark» is being held

The grand opening of the group creative exhibition of artists from the Turkistan Region titled «Legend of Kazygurt – THE ARK», dedicated to the 110th anniversary of Gani Ilyayev – the founder of the Turkistan Region school of fine arts, a member of the USSR Union of Artists, and an outstanding master painter – was held at the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The main purpose of the exhibition is to honor the rich creative legacy of G. Ilyayev, who made an invaluable contribution to the development of Kazakh fine arts, as well as to widely promote the historical and cultural identity of Kazygurt through the language of art. As part of the exhibition, visitors are presented with artworks by artists from the Turkistan region inspired by the legend of Kazygurt and the themes of national spirituality.

During the ceremonial event, speeches were delivered by Akmaral Ibrayeva, Deputy Director for Research at the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan; well-known public figure Sauytbek Abdrakhman; artist Sultan Ghaniuly; Maksat Berginbay, Deputy Akim of Kazygurt District in the Turkistan Region; and Abish Dulat, deputy of the Turkistan Regional Maslikhat. The speakers particularly emphasized the spiritual and cultural significance of the exhibition.

At the conclusion of the event, guests toured the exhibition and became acquainted with the artistic interpretation of the ancient legend of Kazygurt through the works of master painters. Promoting the continuity of national art traditions, the exhibition left visitors with a special spiritual impression.

The exhibition «The Legend of Kazygurt – THE ARK» will welcome visitors until June 25.
