Hyperrealism – a new direction in sculpture

Organized by the Department of Museum Pedagogy and Children's Creativity within the framework of the unified educational program «Adal Azamat», a meeting was held with Kazakhstan’s first hyperrealist sculptor Aidos Yesmagambetov on the topic «Hyperrealism – a New Direction in Sculpture».

The event was attended by students of the Law and Economics College, the Kazakh National University of Arts named after K. Bayseitova, the college affiliated with the university, as well as pupils of School-Lyceum No. 66 named after D. Kunaev.

During the meeting, the sculptor shared insights into the stages of formation and development of hyperrealism, its place in the contemporary art space, his experience of training with international specialists, and the process of creating his original works.

Participants learned about the sculptor’s methods and techniques, and had the opportunity to ask questions of interest. A robot costume created on special order was presented to the audience and attracted considerable attention. Participants expressed their wishes for the sculptor to have more students in the future and for a sculpture museum to be established.

The meeting, organized within the framework of the «Adal Azamat» program, helped young people gain a deeper understanding of the values of honesty and integrity. It encouraged them to become responsible and conscientious citizens, to appreciate the value of hard work, and to realize that true success comes only through honest effort.
