On July 10, 2026, at 4:00 p.m., the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan will host the grand opening of the republican solo exhibition «Aqjaiyq Olkem», marking the 55th anniversary of artist Nurbek Zhardemov (Bekus).
A central theme in the artist’s work is the cultural heritage of the Kazakh people – its imagery, symbols, and visual rhythms. Rather than reproducing these elements literally, he reinterprets them through his personal artistic vision, transforming them into metaphors of time, history, continuity, and the passage of generations. His works engage in a dialogue with the past, allowing it to become an integral part of the present while shaping the spiritual values of the future.
The exhibition will feature 50 paintings, presenting visitors with an opportunity to explore the artist’s distinctive creative vision and artistic language.
