Opening of the exhibition "At the beginning of a Long journey"
On December 2, 2021, at 15:00, the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan will host the opening of an exhibition on the theme "At the beginning of a Long Journey" dedicated to the Day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the 30th anniversary of Independence of the country. The purpose is to present an artifact unique in its artistic and documentary significance, the appearance of which was due to a number of authentic events related to the history of Kazakhstan and the activities of the Leader of the Nation N.A. Nazarbayev. The historically significant core of the exhibition "At the beginning of a Long Journey" is the rare work of the famous Kazakh and Soviet artist N.Ya. Tretyakov, painted by him in 1960, being exhibited for the first time. The plot of the historical work is a meeting with his relatives and fellow countrymen of the graduate of the Vocational School No. 8 N.A. Nazarbayev in the village of Chemolgan, Almaty region in 1960. The reason was a remarkable article in the newspaper "Dzerzhinets" about the successful achievements of the future President. The uniqueness of this painting lies in the fact that the artist, who captured the joyful festive event of the villagers, was able to visionarily discern in the appearance and character of a young man the qualities of an outstanding public figure, whose will and thought Kazakhstan will be destined to become an independent democratic state, a recognized and equal member of the world community. The author of the canvas in question is a well-known Kazakh and Soviet artist, graphic artist, painter, muralist N.Ya. Tretyakov (1926-1989). In 1947 he began his studies at the Almaty Theater and Art College named after N.V. Gogol, under the guidance of such renowned masters as A. Cherkassky, P. Saltzman, A. Bortnikov, L. Leontiev. After graduating from college with honors, he was sent to the legendary Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. I.E. Repin. Since 1958 as a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR, he repeatedly participates in the decade of Kazakh art in Moscow. Also, he was a member of the Monumental Art Council of the RSFSR. This work is written in a characteristic "impressionistic" manner, reflecting the influence of the pictorial style of N. Tretyakov's teachers A. Cherkassky and L. Leontiev. Photo documents of the Leader of the Nation N.A. Nazarbayev will also be presented at the exhibition. The event will be attended by well-known state and public figures, as well as representatives of the creative intelligentsia.
