The Third Conference of the International Alliance of Museums of the Silk Road
On November 1, 2023, the Third Conference of the International Alliance of Museums of the Silk Road was held at the National museum of China, in Beijing. The conference was attended by heads of leading museums from Belarus, China, Fiji, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Liechtenstein, Mongolia, Myanmar, Russia, Serbia and Yemen.
During the conference it was announced that Acting Director of the National Museum Aibek Sydykov was elected Vice President of the Alliance.
Within the framework of the first session of the conference, the report of Aibek Sydykov "The Role of Museums in the Development of Common Values of Humanity" was read by the head of the International Relations Department of the National Museum Kumar Zhunusov. The report touched upon the potential of museums as centers of cultural communications and the resources of modern museums for the development of the country's cultural heritage.
