The II International Forum of Museum Directors is being held in Nanjing
On November 7, 2023, the opening of the II International Forum of Museum Directors, organized by the International School for Museology of the Nanjing University of Art, was held in Nanjing (PRC). The event was supported by Xinhua News Agency, Nanjing City Administration and the Nanjing Museum. The theme of the forum is "Digital Innovations in Museums".
The forum was attended by over 300 representatives of museums, government organizations, universities, research institutions and the media. Wang Chunfa, Director of the National Museum of China, Yannick Linz, President of the Guimet Museum of Asian Arts, Wu Weishan, Director of the National Art Museum of China, and others delivered video messages at the opening ceremony.
The second half of the forum was devoted to thematic sub-forums, where Togzhan Adilbekova, Head of the Accounting Department of the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan made a report "Digitization of museum objects and the "Museum" automated system".
The forum included discussion and exchange of experience in the implementation of innovative digital technologies aimed at developing and improving of museums’ work.
